Graeme's Story
Graeme has been living with a hearing loss most of his life.
With no hearing in the left ear and a hearing loss in his right ear, Graeme has always found it difficult to hear people and join in conversations. "At times I felt cut off from other people and found it hard to join in conversations. I didn't feel like going out and it was getting me down." Like many people with a hearing loss, it is hard to follow conversations in groups of people. Getting help to improve hearing can take a lot of effort but that is exactly what Graeme did. Graeme had dealt with a hearing loss for a long time and was told he would never hear well again. Wanting to make a change for the better, Graeme decided to do something to seek help with his hearing and got in touch with the Jervis Bay Hearing Centre. |

“My hearing is important because I play harmonica and enjoy music and bands. My quality of life was getting worse, so I had to do something and seek help. I’d recently moved to area but had heard good things about the Jervis Bay Hearing Centre, so went to see them."
We asked Graeme what he felt made us different.
“They are very professional and I have referred some friends already. I felt like they cared about me and could help with my hearing loss.”
Thanks to his own motivation and desire to improve Graeme got help with his hearing. Many people don’t get help and continue to put up with a hearing loss. Take steps to improve your hearing for better health and wellbeing.
