What makes us different?

We understand hearing is what keeps us connected to the people and the world around us.   We know that hearing well helps us to reach our potential as mothers, fathers, partners, friends, grandpa's and grandma's.  Its what keeps us meaningful, spontaneous and well.  Our approach is to look at the whole person.  To understand their lives, where they are struggling and the situations that they want to hear better in.

We are unique in that we develop communication programs that include the whole person and focus on the human dynamics of hearing loss as well as the technical aspects of the hearing devices that we recommend.

We aim to maximise your potential and to offer you options as to how you would like to do this.  We evaluate, recommend and then support you along a journey of hearing wellness.  We have staff trained and ready to help you located in 3 sites across the Southern Shoalhaven.

At the Jervis Bay Hearing Centre, we offer assistance with all three strategies to help you achieve the best possible outcome. To become a well-adjusted hearing aid user, a person needs to accept the hearing loss, adapt to the hearing aid if one is required, and regain some of the social skills that have been lost.

Once the  hearing aid has been fitted, we help give the person skills the required to become a well-adjusted hearing aid user. People such as partners, family members and friends can be a great help in achieving this goal and we strongly encourage them to come along to appointments as well.
